Low Handle Exit

Hey Rukket Nation, it's Henry Fall from the Milo Lines Academy, joined by LPGA Tour player Dana Finkelstein. Today, we're excited to share a valuable tip to enhance your swing by maintaining a lower handle through the hitting area.

For those of you who tend to raise the handle, causing shanks, blocks to the right, or excessive hooks, this advice is gold. Picture this: as you swing, focus on a controlled turn, imagining the club smoothly tracing the arc back and inside, avoiding abrupt leftward pulls or exits. To practice this, try swinging with a shaft nearby – a visual aid to guide your motion.

Dana and I have employed this technique frequently, refining it even on the road. Another effective exercise is placing an object lower in your setup, compelling you to swing the club head beneath it. This maneuver particularly helps those battling shanks, promoting an inside-out, low exit path.

Give these techniques a shot; they've significantly improved our game and could do wonders for yours too. Here's to a more controlled and consistent swing!
