Rukket Golf Tips: How To Stop Popping Up Your Driver

Henry Fall and Dana Finkelstein of the LPGA Tour are back to address a common issue – the dreaded pop-up with the driver. We've all been there – excited to crush a drive, only to see the ball shoot up into the sky and come crashing down embarrassingly close. Not a great feeling, right?

The culprit behind this frustrating shot is often a steep downward angle of attack. Many golfers are advised to tee the ball high, but if you're not swinging slightly upward or level, trouble awaits. Picture it: a high tee, a downward swing, and boom – a sky-high shot that leaves a mark on your driver head.

To counter this, remember our previous advice on level swings. Imagine a baseball-style swing from hip to hip, maintaining a more level approach. You can even practice by gently flipping the ball off the tee. Experimenting with a slightly lower tee height can also encourage a more level swing.

Say goodbye to pop-ups and hello to more consistent, satisfying drives. Give these tips a shot and watch your tee shots soar!
